Fostering community-minded economic development within our food system.

Empowering Farmers and Food System Innovators.

Revitalizing local food.

Who We Are

A team of food producers, farmers, nutrition experts, and community members passionate about making real change in how we eat and support our neighbors.

How To Help ‣

To revitalize our food economy and create more financially equitable relationships, we look toward the critical support of individuals, families, and institutions.

What We Do

Supporting farmers and food producers through our Fellows Program, establishing regional regenerative agricultural systems, inspiring new thinking.

Where We Work

Our Agricultural Campus at Shewatuck Farm is located on 91 acres of prime soil in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

Our Mission

Healthy People, Healthy Landscapes

We believe that the best agricultural practices to feed the world and heal the planet are organic, small-scale, and regenerative. What we do is an investment in the imagination, the intelligence, and the future of our community’s people.

Our Work In 2022/2023

  • Expanded our Fellows Program to 8 individuals establishing inventive projects and ventures within our local food system.

  • Partnered with local organizations to grow over 30,000 pounds of food for hunger relief.

  • Grew our local organic CSA to serve over 100 members of our community.

Take Action

On average, farmers earn just 15 cents on every dollar spent on food. Industrial food systems undervalue farm labor and underpay their farmers. Buy local, get to know your farmer, and support growing for people, not profit.
